Hello! Starting out Beginner's program

Hi all,

I'm just starting out - been lifting according to what I could put together for a few years intermittently and decided to do it right :). I may be odd as I have no real ambition for big gains, just a good physique and health, so I'm not going to be upping the weight much at all relative to you all.

I noticed as a matter of interest that the initial workouts, weeks 1-3, list the workout time as 20 minutes. If you repeat the exercise once for each side in unilateral exercises and calculate out the time, the max workout length seems to be 35 minutes or so.

I think the rationale of doing what works for you suggests the answer for me is simply to do two sets, not three.

I also have chondromalacia in the knees from running and jumping so I'm not able to lunge or squat and have to substitute exercises in place. Seeing I'm not looking for mass, these exercises and regular cycling I hope will be able to give me the leg development I need to have a balanced physique.

Anyway, just thought I'd say 'Hi'. Glad to be on the program!
